据报道，阿布扎比萨迪亚特(Saadiya)岛规划的三座博物馆之一，阿布扎比卢浮宫将于2015年阿联酋国庆日12月2日正式开放。
阿布扎比卢浮宫的构想来源于阿联酋和法国政府间的合作，法国卢浮宫表示已经挑选好了三百件展品借给阿布扎比卢浮宫。
今年5月份，阿布扎比旅游发展投资公司(TDIC)开始建造阿布扎比卢浮宫的独特圆顶，预计圆顶将在2014年底完工。该圆顶只靠4个点支撑，但直径达到180米，总重量超过7000公吨——几乎相当于埃菲尔铁塔的重量
今年8月份，TDIC启动了挑选萨迪亚特岛古根海姆(Guggenheim)博物馆的主体工程承包商工作，现在仍未公布最终结果。
2012年1月，TDIC曾表示古根海姆博物馆将在2017年完工，比福斯特扎耶德(Foster’s Zayed)博物馆晚一年完工。
原文：Louvre Abu Dhabi to open on UAE National Day in 2015
The Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first of three museums planned for the emirate's SaadiyatIsland, will open in December 2015, it has been reported.
Aurélie Filippetti, the French Minister for Culture, has announced that the museum will open its doors on December 2 2015, the UAE's National Day, Art Media Agency said.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi was conceived through an intergovernmental agreement between the UAE and France.
It quoted Jean-Luc Martinez, director of the Louvre in Paris, as saying that 300 masterpieces have now been selected for loan to the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
In May, the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) began work on the distinctive dome on Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first of three iconic museums planned for SaadiyatIsland.
Work on the dome is expected to be completed by the end of 2014. The dome which has a diameter of 180 metres and is expected to weigh more than 7,000 tonnes - almost the weight of the EiffelTower, will be supported in four points only.
In August, Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) said it was inviting contractors to pre-qualify for the main contract to build the Guggenheim museum on SaadiyatIsland.
In January 2012, TDIC announced the museum is scheduled for completion in 2017, a year later than Foster’s ZayedNationalMuseum and two years after Nouvel’s Louvre Abu Dhabi.
