Market witnesses a9% rise in average room rates to $163.32
Hotels in Abu Dhabimaintained robust performance in April, as occupancy soared to 84.6 percent, the latest data from HotStats reveals.
The strong demand allowed hoteliers toincrease yields with the market witnessing a nine per cent surge in AverageRoom Rates (ARR) to $163.32, resulting in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR)rising by an astounding 18.2 per cent to $138.22. An increase in leisure andMICE demand in the city contributed to a substantial rise in conferencing, foodand beverage revenues, as Total Revenue per Available Room (TRevPAR) grew by14.3 per cent to $295.24. A slight reduction in payroll costs helped hotelsregister a 25.8 per cent increase .
“Abu Dhabi’s strong hotel performance in April was drivenby a consistent rise in visitor numbers that boosted demand for rooms andF&B activity. The capital continued to attract international visitors, withparticular growth witnessed from Chinese guests due to the Nu Skin Success Tripthat delivered 6,000 guests and 12,500 room nights during the month.
The latest data from Abu Dhabi Tourismand Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) shows that the capital’s 153 hotels andhotel apartments had continued their upward momentum.
